Every year, the Church releases a summary of humanitarian efforts from the year known as the Caring for Those in Need Summary. This report highlights the stories of both givers and receivers and summarizes the main efforts of the Church in different areas of the world. The 2023 Caring Summary highlighted statistics of many of the efforts of the Church and its members, including:
“The two great commandments can guide us: first, to love God and, second, to love our neighbor. We show our love by serving.”
“Giving help to others—making a conscientious effort to care about others as much as or more than we care about ourselves—is our joy. Living that second great commandment is the key to becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ.”
