Can I apply to a project if I am under 18 years old?
Yes. However, you must provide at least one email of your parent or legal guardian on your talent profile. If you do not, you will not be considered for projects.
Can I create a talent profile for young children who don't have their own email?
Yes. When creating a profile for a child, enter the child’s name and the parent or legal guardian’s email address.
I am not receiving emails. Why?
Please check any folder in your email account that may be blocking emails (spam, junk, promotions, etc.), and check your talent profile to make sure your email address is correct. If these actions do not resolve the problem, contact us at Casting@ChurchofJesusChrist.org for casting (acting, modeling, and voice-over) questions and MusicProjects@ChurchofJesusChrist.org for music questions.
Do I need to have a temple recommend?
Employees of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must maintain a current temple recommend.
I no longer want to be a part of the talent database. How do I remove my information?
Complete the Delete My Talent Profile form, and your data will be removed from the Talent Database. You may also send an email to Casting@ChurchofJesusChrist.org and request your information be removed from the talent database.
How often are there paid opportunities? Does my selection of “paid” or “volunteer” opportunities in the talent profile affect my chances of being selected?
It depends on the project and its needs. We respect people’s desire to be compensated, especially when working in a professional capacity. We also respect of people’s desire to volunteer their time. Please indicate your preferences to help us better match you to projects that are appropriate with your preferences.

What types of music performance projects might be available to apply for?
There are a variety of projects that could be available for anyone around the world to apply for. This could include local area events, virtual performances, recording opportunities, Churchwide broadcasts, and many more.
What types of opportunities are available to people with professional music skills besides performing (audio recording, notation software, professional coaching, etc.)?
We are currently pursuing a variety of music projects that need support in both volunteer and professional capacities. We are happy to learn of any dedicated members around the world with significant music skills, training, or experience who might be able to assist when circumstances arise.
Which musical styles or genres are you interested in for performance, composing, or arranging projects?
We are interested in all musical styles and genres, which could include contemporary, classical, popular, and cultural music styles, as well as many others.
Can I submit a profile on behalf of a group (community, professional, etc.) that I participate in? Can my family apply as a group?
Please indicate on your talent profile that you participate in a group. In the question field that reads, “What types of ensembles have you participated in?”, you can select the ensemble type that best fits your group. Make your selection, and an answer field will appear to allow you to further describe your ensemble and include any additional contact information.
I applied or auditioned for a project. When will I hear back?
It depends on the project. We will do our best to let you know the result as soon as possible, but sometimes wait times are necessarily longer.
Casting Only
What is a headshot?
A headshot is a photo that includes your head and shoulders looking straight forward with a pleasant expression, so we can see your face and features clearly. In a headshot, you are the only person in frame. Use good lighting. This should be a recent photo, taken within the last two months.
What is a profile shot?
A profile shot is a photo of your head and shoulders looking to the side at a 90-degree angle. Profile shots allow us to see your profile.
Should I audition for a role?
When in doubt, audition. Please follow the instructions included in the casting call. If you are new to the audition process, ask a friend to assist you.
When will I know if I am cast or if I am going to be an extra?
This depends on the project. For those who have auditioned for a role, we work as quickly as possible to notify applicants about their status.
Why wasn't I chosen for the project?
First of all, thank you for applying. We consider every individual very carefully in each casting call. In every decision, we employ not only our considerable experience but also a great deal of prayer and counsel from the client, producer, and director. Please continue to apply for other projects, as it may simply be a matter of finding the right fit.
Is there an age limit for applying?
There is no age limit. Every project has its unique needs.
Do you really need my birthdate and other personal details (height, weight, etc.)?
Your date of birth is a mandatory field, while most other fields are optional. However, the more information that you provide the easier it is for your profile to match our search criteria. Please be thorough as you complete your profile.
Can I make an appointment to see you in person?
Only those who are invited to audition will be seen in person.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a worldwide organization, so diversity in casting productions is essential to imparting a sense of belonging. We also seek for authenticity in our films wherever possible, which requires a rich array of diversity.
