SCOPE: This project is designed to bring awareness to the Book of Mormon App.
CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: Members and Friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
SEEKING: Actors with good comedic timing.
Principal Characters
Rate: $800/day (plus 20% agency fee, if applicable), negotiable.
Time Commitment: 1 production day
Production Date: December 20 or 21, 2024
Location: Las Vegas, NV or Salt Lake City, UT. Must work as a local. (The application form will allow you to list your location.)
RICK: Adult male (husband), age 35-65, any ethnicity; clean-shaven. [Audition Side for Rick.]
WENDY: Adult female (wife), age 35-65, any ethnicity. [Audition Side for Wendy — pg 3.]
JUAN: Cab Driver. Adult male, age 25-65, Hispanic/Latin American; clean-shaven. Native Spanish speaker who must also speak English. [Audition Side for Juan — pg 3.]
NICK: Adult male, age 20-35, any ethnicity; clean-shaven. [Audition Side for Nick: 2 scenes.]
JOHN: (Nick’s younger brother) Teen male, age 15-18, any ethnicity; clean-shaven. [Audition Side for John — pg 2.]
Supporting Character
MALINDA: Adult female, age 20-35, any ethnicity. [Audition Side for Malinda.]
Rate: $400/half-day (plus 20% agency fee, if applicable).
To Apply
STEP 1: Current photos
Take 4 current photos of yourself: (1) headshot; (2) profile; (3) full body; (4) full body profile. A digital photo with your phone is fine.
STEP 2: Audition Video
Prepare your audition scene. The tone for all scenes is light and upbeat. Feel free to add a bit of improv if you’d like. It may help to have someone read with you, as the scenes are interactive.
- Record yourself in good lighting, playing to camera. Begin by introducing yourself: full name, where you live, and agency name (if applicable).
- Perform the scene. If you have a reader, please place them behind the camera.
- Upload your video to an online video sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo and copy the “share” URL address.
IMPORTANT: Set the privacy settings to “Unlisted” (not “Private”) so we’ll be able to view it without a password.
When you’re ready, please click Apply to upload your video and current photos.
