Inviting 31- to 35-Year-Olds to Participate, Belong, and Create Something Great at Institute

Young single adults walking on the beach.

We are delighted for programs to welcome 31- to 35-year-olds to participate, belong, and contribute at institute. This age group will have the chance to play a significant role in building something new and meaningful with exciting opportunities, tailored experiences, and Christ-centered courses. Programs should offer classes and activities in two age ranges, 18—25 and 26—35, unless it is not feasible to do so.

President Russell M. Nelson recently invited young adults to participate in institute, promising it would help them "learn how to let God prevail," "stay on the covenant path," and "feel more joy." Share his personal invitation to young adults. Students can get involved here

The included infographic contains ideas and insights for helping this new audience become involved. A Frequently Asked Questions section is also included, and the FAQ on MyInstitute has been updated.

Every reasonable effort should be made to welcome those in this age group. They have much to contribute! The Guide for Institute Changes notes our responsibility to "[view] young adults as partners in, not just consumers of...programs." We hope this mature audience will lend their "faith and voice" in developing "institute experiences that will have a meaningful impact on their generation" (Guide for Institute Changes, 6).
