“To Those Who Teach,” Ensign, Feb. 1971, 57
To Those Who Teach
Words on the printed page lie
Dormant. Muted. Still.
When, for a purpose wisely applied,
They rise up,
Vibrate! Live! Fulfill!
Blessed be they who expound,
Who guide explorations
Over the tortuous trails of the mind,
Who lead to the fountains
Of freedom and inspiration
Those with an unquenchable thirst
For life-purpose, for wisdom, for peace:
For a star to reach.
O! faithful disciple,
Humble, unknown,
Constant dispenser of truth,
Rise up, magnified.
Mount thy glorious throne.
