Queen is Deborah Ann Shields, center, a 22-year-old dance major who will be graduated this month from Brigham Young University. She is the daughter of Brother and Sister Jed W. Shields of Salt Lake City. Her attendants are Terri Fisher, left, a 22-year-old BYU graduate and daughter of Brother and Sister Grant A. Fisher of Provo, Utah, and Sherry Bodell, 20-year-old BYU graduate and daughter of Brother and Sister Arden Bodell of Sandy, Utah. The Days of ’47 royalty reign over all holiday activities celebrating the anniversary of the day the pioneers first entered the Salt Lake Valley, July 24, 1847.
