Learning to Relate

I have often expressed the belief that the important purpose of life itself is to learn to understand, appreciate, and abide significant relationships. That is what learning is all about. Whether it be in science, language, religion, or any of the arts—if you study, you learn relationships. The Lord has challenged us to perfect our relationships with him and with each other husbands and wives, parents and children, brothers and sisters, friends and neighbors. If we can prove to the Lord that we can abide significant relationships with each other and with him, the reward is eternal relationship.
