Sock Success Story

Dear Editor:

After following Sister Luthi’s advice in the Random Sampler (January Ensign, p. 64), we had a successful sock hunt.

Now we only accept socks for washing that have been mated and are held together by a doubled elastic band. They stay together in the washer as well as the dryer.

Those socks that have been singles for longer than my patience can endure are used as replacement cuffs on winter parkas or as ribbing on knit shirts.
