Saturday Morning, 2 April 1983, General Session
The Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle Choir, directed by Jerold Ottley, with organist Robert Cundick, sang “Lead Me Into Life Eternal” by Schreiner (Hymns, no. 141), “Oh Lord I Would Hear Thy Word” by Bradshaw (Sonos), “He, Watching Over Israel” by Mendelssohn (Ditson), “God of Power, God of Right” by Cannon (Hymns, no. 36), “All Glory, Laud and Honor” by Teschner, arr. Schreiner (J. Fischer), and “Sweet Is the Work” by McClellan (Hymns, no. 168). The congregation sang “Hope of Israel” by Clayson (Hymns, no. 64).
Saturday Afternoon, 2 April 1983, General Session
A Young Men/Young Women Choir from six Salt Lake regions, directed by Margaret C. Richards, with organist Clay Christiansen, sang “We Ever Pray for Thee” by Stephens, arr. Richards (unpublished) as a prelude, “There is a Green Hill Far Away” by Gower (Hymns, no. 201), “Come, Ye Children of the Lord” by Wallis, arr. Lyons (Deseret Book), and “With a Voice of Singing” by Shaw (Schirmer). The congregation sang “Now Let Us Rejoice” by Phelps (Hymns, no. 118).
Saturday Evening, 2 April 1983, Priesthood Session
The Ricks College Men’s Choir, directed by Richard Robison and Noel Brown, with organist Roy M. Darley, sang “See, The Mighty Angel Flying!” by Stephens, arr. Wolford (unpublished), “Come, Serve the Lord” by Wolford (unpublished), and “Jesus, My Savior True” by Huish, arr. Barrus (unpublished) The congregation sang “We Thank Thee, O God, for a Prophet” by Norton (Hymns, no. 196).
