Shortly after obtaining the gold plates, Joseph and Emma Smith went to Harmony, Pennsylvania, to escape persecution. They lived with Emma’s family for a time, then purchased 13 1/2 acres of land and a home from Emma’s father. Joseph and Emma cleaned the house to make it livable, and there the Prophet resumed his translation of the plates. Inside back cover: Scenes from “Come with Me to Primary,” a film recently released by the Primary. In the Primary’s recently released filmstrip, “Come with Me to Primary,” Becky invites her nonmember friend to Primary. The filmstrip takes the two girls through a regular Primary meeting—opening exercises, lesson, and sharing time—then shows them at a later activity day. The filmstrip is to encourage children to bring friends to Primary, and to present an overview of the Primary program to priesthood and newly called Primary leaders.
