Dedicated 17, 18, and 19 November 1964, the Oakland Temple in Oakland, California, was the last of five temples to be dedicated by President David O. McKay. Although President McKay had been ill a short time previously, he spoke at all six dedicatory sessions and gave the dedicatory prayer in four of them.
