Even while he and several companions were falsely imprisoned in Liberty Jail, the Prophet Joseph Smith counseled Church members to love and tolerate their persecutors. It was during March of 1839, after nearly four months of captivity, that the Prophet received the revelations that are now D&C 121, D&C 122, and D&C 123.
