Built by the Church in 1867 when Utah was a U.S. territory, Cove Fort was a pioneer wilderness outpost located in south central Utah. The 100-by-100-foot walled structure is the only one of the Church pioneer forts that still stands in its entirety. The fort has been restored and is now open to visitors.
