Jesus Christ Directs His Church

After Jesus Christ’s Ascension, He continued to lead His disciples through the Holy Ghost. We have that same blessing today. How has the Holy Ghost helped you know what the Lord would have you do in your life?

Articles

  • Let the Holy Spirit Guide,” by Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles (from the April 2017 general conference), reminds us that the Holy Ghost inspires, testifies, and leads us to Christ.

  • The Lord Leads His Church.” In this October 2017 general conference address, President Henry B. Eyring, Second Counselor in the First Presidency, teaches how Christ leads through revelation, both to Apostles and to all those who serve in the Church.

Activities

  • Enemy Territory.” Watch this animated video featuring President Boyd K. Packer (1924–2015), President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. By following the Holy Ghost, he was protected as a young U.S. Air Force pilot during World War II.

  • Still, Small Voice Obstacle Course” (an activity from the new Ensign series “Family Study Fun”). A blindfolded family member is guided through an obstacle course to find a “person in need.”

  • Obstacle-Course Challenge.” If your family can’t create the obstacle course mentioned above, read this illustrated story instead in which DJ learns about the Holy Ghost in Primary class. Find other child-friendly messages, stories, and activities about the Holy Ghost here.

The First Principles and Ordinances of the Gospel

Peter admonished the people to “repent, and be baptized” (Acts 2:38.) Just as it was anciently, the Church today is grounded in these fundamentals: faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, and the gift of the Holy Ghost.
