These additional resources selected by the Church magazines staff can assist you as you strive to teach the gospel in your home.

Acts 16–21

Sharing the Gospel

One of the great lessons taught in Acts 16–21 is that the Holy Ghost can lead us to those who are ready to receive the gospel. As you study the articles below, think about the people in your life. Is there anyone you know who is ready?

Articles

  • Nothing but Good.” This New Era article relates how nothing but good usually comes from acting on the Spirit and sharing the gospel with others.

  • Jesus Said to Share the Gospel” is an illustrated and simplified retelling of Christ’s invitation to take the gospel to all the world. (From the Friend.)

Activity

  • Mini Missionaries.” Read with your children this Friend article about missionary work. Afterward, brainstorm three different ways they can share the gospel with others. Find other child-friendly messages, stories, and activities about missionary work here.

Acts 17:16–34

Offspring of God

The Family: A Proclamation to the World” supports Paul’s teaching to the Athenians that we are the offspring of God. It states that each human being “is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny.” How can knowing you are a daughter or son of God influence the way you see yourself and others?

Articles

  • Value beyond Measure.” Sister Joy D. Jones, Primary General President, explains the difference between spiritual worth and worthiness and teaches that our worth is never determined by our worthiness.

  • We Are Children of God.” President Russell M. Nelson, then a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, teaches that as children of God, we have infinite potential.

  • What’s in the Box?” In this Friend article, a girl learns that she is one of Heavenly Father’s priceless creations. Find other child-friendly messages, stories, coloring pages, and activities about this topic here.

Activities

  • Decoding Your Divine DNA” (an activity from the new Ensign series “Family Study Fun”). With your family, explore traits inherited from earthly parents and those inherited from Heavenly Parents.
