“Come, Listen to a Prophet’s Voice.” In this general conference address, Bishop Dean M. Davies, First Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric, shares an experience he had with President Gordon B. Hinckley (1910–2008) and the selection of a temple site.

Christ said, “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” (John 3:5). When we perform baptisms by proxy, we give those who have come before us the opportunity to obey the commandment to be baptized.
