“Sleeping Time,” Friend, July 1971, inside back cover
Sleeping Time
The horse sleeps standing up,
The sloth, upside down.
The robin sleeps high in a tree,
The bobwhite, on the ground.
The owl sleeps throughout the day,
The rooster sleeps at night.
The puppy sleeps all stretched out,
The kitten, rolled up tight.
But I like to snuggle beneath covers
On my own cozy bed,
With a sheet underneath and one on top
And a pillow beneath my head.
