“Cookies,” Friend, May 1972, inside back cover
Cookies
I like the name of cookies.
I like to smell them too.
Their shapes are fun to look at
And they are great to chew.
I’ve never had a cookie
That I didn’t like,
For I can eat them anywhere—
At school or on a hike.
I’ve been in many places,
And everywhere I’ve found
That cookies are delicious—
Fat, thin, square, or round.
