Wisdom for All
How wise the little owl looks
Through the dimly lit night at me,
Quietly blinking,
Solemnly winking,
As he sits in our backyard tree.
Is he the wisest one of all?
I have often heard that it’s so.
Or could it be
I know best for me,
While he knows what owls should know?
