A Child’s Prayer

Father, bless the little birds

That search for crumbs and seeds.

Keep the kittens warm at night,

And tend to all their needs.

When Thy Son was very small,

A manger cradled Him.

Shepherds brought their little lambs

That night in Bethlehem.

In the stable oxen’s lowing

Lulled the Child to sleep.

Father, for all little ones

A loving-watch care keep.
