Letter Pretzels

1 package yeast (1/4 ounce)

1 1/2 cups warm water

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

4 cups white flour

1. Dissolve yeast in water and add salt and sugar.

2. Stir flour into mixture.

3. Knead and roll dough and cut into small pieces.

4. Shape into letters and words.

5. Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with salt, and place on foil-lined cookie sheet.

6. Bake 12–15 minutes in 425° oven.
