Kitchen Hanger

You will need: inexpensive wood chopping board, ribbon, brass cup hooks, felt-tip markers, shellac, small nail and hammer, tape measure, and newspapers.

1. Spread newspapers out on working surface. Decorate chopping board with markers in any design you choose, or follow the example given. Use black marker for outlining and colored markers to fill in pattern.

2. When design is dry, paint board with coat of shellac.

3. At bottom of board make small starting holes with nail every 2″. Now screw hooks into holes. Potholders, small kitchen utensils, or keys may be hung on holder.

4. Tie ribbon through hole at top of chopping board so hanger can be attached to wall.
