“Ice Skating,” Friend, Jan. 1980, inside front cover
Ice Skating
I glide the way a bird can fly,
Smoothly through the sky.
An eagle circling on the wind
Has no more fun than I.
When I’m soaring down the ice,
As though I’d opened wings,
I feel the power of my flight
And cry out eagle things.
