The Wise Ant
Although the ant is very small,
He doesn’t shirk his work at all.
He pulls and tugs and tries and tries,
And carries bread crumbs twice his size!
He gathers tidbits by the score
Until he has his winter’s store.
Then snug inside his earthly fold,
He’s safe against the winter cold.
