Window Watching
There is so much that autumn brings—
Loud, honking geese on rapid wings,
A busy gray squirrel storing nuts,
The turkey gobbler’s preens and struts.
The leaves have turned a golden brown
As they begin to tumble down.
The yellow school bus leaves the lane;
Frost etches on each windowpane.
No matter where I look or stand,
I see anew God’s wondrous land!
