Give Dad Something to Eat for Father’s Day
Vegetable Race Car
thick slice off either end of bell pepper
2 1/2 toothpicks
4 carrot slices
black olive

Using toothpicks as axles, stick one toothpick through front of bell pepper and one through back (see illustration).

Place carrot slices on ends of toothpicks as wheels.

Insert half toothpick toward back of car, and stick olive on top as driver.
Football Meatloaf
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup catsup
1 pound (.45 kg) lean ground beef
cheese

Combine all ingredients except cheese.

Form into football shape and place in greased loaf pan.

Bake at 400° F (205° C) for 1 hour.

To serve, decorate top with strips of cheese arranged like football lacings.
Banana Icicles
4 bananas, peeled
juice of lemon
1 cup shredded coconut

Halve bananas lengthwise.
-
Spoon lemon juice over banana halves, and roll in coconut.

Wrap separately in aluminum foil and freeze. Serve frozen.
Honey and Spice Popcorn
6 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
4 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon cloves

Pop kernels.

Mix melted butter and honey together, then pour over popcorn.

Stir spices together and sprinkle over popcorn. Mix popcorn well.
