Enos

Enos was the son of Jacob. Enos kept the plates and wrote on them after his father had died. Jacob 7:27

One day Enos went hunting in the forest. As he thought about the teachings of his father, he wanted to be forgiven for his sins. Enos 1:1–3

Enos knelt and prayed to God. He prayed all day and was still praying when night came. Enos 1:4

God told Enos that, because of his faith in Jesus Christ, his sins were forgiven. Enos 1:5–8

Enos wanted the Lord to bless all the Nephites. He prayed for them, and the Lord said that he would bless them if they obeyed his commandments. Enos 1:9–10

Enos also wanted the Lord to bless the Lamanites. He prayed with great faith, and the Lord promised to bless them. Enos 1:11–12

The Lamanites were wicked. They fought the Nephites, trying to destroy them and their records. Enos 1:13–14

Enos prayed that the records that he had kept would be safe. He prayed that the writing on them would someday help the Lamanites become righteous. Enos 1:15–17

The Nephites tried to teach the gospel to the Lamanites, but they would not listen. The Lamanites lived in tents in the wilderness and were a wicked people. Enos 1:20

Enos spent his life teaching people about Jesus and the gospel. He served God and loved him all his days. Enos 1:26–27
