Valentine Gift Bag

For this gift bag, you will need: a small piece of wood about 4″ (10 cm) square, a pencil, glue, several yards (m’s) of yarn, acrylic paint, a paper plate, and a brown paper bag.

1. To make a stamp, draw a heart on the wood. Fill in the heart with glue, including the outline.

2. Starting at the bottom of the heart, place the yarn on the glue over the outline. Then, following the outline on the inside of the heart, coil the yarn toward the center until it is entirely covered (see illustration). Let the stamp dry completely before doing Step 3.

3. Put some paint on a paper plate, add a few drops of water, stir, then spread the paint out on the plate.

4. Dip the stamp in the paint, then press it onto the paper bag. Hold it there for a few seconds before removing it. Continue stamping the bag with as many heart decorations as desired.

5. When the paint is dry, fill the bag with candies, nuts, or a special gift for your valentine.
