Only One Me
The Susies in my class at school
Are all nice girls, as a rule.
Added up, in all we’re three.
But only one of them is me!
And children in my home aren’t rare.
Mom counts us when we go somewhere.
Six kids, two parents—eight are we.
But only one of them is me.
A sign just at the edge of town,
Where population can be found,
Proclaims, “Four thousand ninety-three.”
But only one of them is me.
A zillion people live on earth.
Each second there’s another birth.
That’s quite an awesome family—
But only one of them is me!
