“LDS ABC Game,” Friend, Mar. 2000, 23
LDS ABC Game
You will need: a marker (such as a button) for each player, a die, and the alphabet cards cut out from page 26.
Instructions
-
Mix up the cards and place them face-down in a pile. Everyone places his/her marker on the center square, “Something you are thankful for.”
-
In turn, each player rolls the die and moves that number of spaces in any direction, but only in one direction.
-
The player then draws the top alphabet card and says something that starts with that letter in the category on which he/she has landed.
-
If the player gives an acceptable answer, he/she keeps the alphabet card. If the player does not give an acceptable answer, the alphabet card is returned to the bottom of the pile.
-
Play continues for either a set period of time or until all the alphabet cards are used. The winner is the person with the most alphabet cards.
