Growing a Good Seed

The word of God is like a seed

I plant within my heart.

It will grow and fill my soul

If I will do my part.

I’ll water it with scriptures

And pull the weeds of sin.

I’ll let the sun of service shine,

The breath of prayer come in.

I’ll soon begin to see it grow

And I’ll taste the fruit I sow.

And like the prophets, new and old,

I, too, will say “I know!”
