Mom, when I grow up I want to marry someone just like Daddy.

But more handsome.

You don’t think your daddy’s handsome?

Well, sure, I guess he’s Daddy-handsome. But I mean handsome!

Of course, he’ll always be kind to me the way Daddy is. And he’ll give our children priesthood blessings and stay up at night with them when they’re sick like Daddy does with us. And he’ll be funny and fun like Daddy, and always set a good example like Daddy.

And he’ll know how to make people feel better when they’re sad like Daddy does, and he’ll be honest and good like Daddy is, and he’ll love Heavenly Father the way Daddy does, and I’ll always feel safe and warm with him the way I do with Daddy.

Actually, I think maybe a husband who’s Daddy-handsome would be just fine.
