Be a Star
As a boy, President Gordon B. Hinckley (1910-2008) would lie outside during summer nights and look at the stars. He noticed that most of the stars moved, but one star always stayed in the same place. It was called the Polar Star.
“Love is like the Polar Star,” President Hinckley said. “In a changing world, it is a constant” (“Let Love Be the Lodestar of Your Life,” Ensign, May 1989, 66).
When we show love to others, we will shine brightly and be examples to them.
Find the Polar Star on this map. Hold the map over your head and turn it so the stars on the map are in the same position as the stars in the sky. Use the map to find star patterns in the sky. These star patterns are called constellations. ★ The stars you see in the sky may be shifted from the ones shown here, depending on where you live. This map is for the northern hemisphere in the month of May.
