Hyrum Smith

Hyrum Smith was the older brother of the Prophet Joseph Smith. As Church patriarch, he gave patriarchal blessings to members of the Church. He was compassionate toward all members of the Church and loyal to his brother Joseph. The Lord loved him “because of the integrity of his heart” (D&C 124:15). Hyrum was martyred along with the Prophet Joseph Smith in Carthage Jail in 1844.
