Guide to the Friend
Possible Ideas for Family Home Evening
-
Use the Bringing Primary Home lesson and activity to learn more about this month’s Primary theme (pages 40–41).
-
Read President Eyring’s message “The Gospel—A Gift to Share” and do the accompanying activity (pages 2–3). Make a list of other blessings the gospel brings and how you can share those blessings with others.
-
In “Art for the Heart,” Sydney cheers up a sick friend in the hospital (pages 4–5). As a family, visit a hospital or nursing home and brighten someone’s day. (Call first to find out visiting policies.)
-
Read “The Little League Lesson” (pages 28–29). Look at the calendar and see who in your family has upcoming events (a test, a performance, or a talk in church). Talk about how you can support each other. For example, you could write a note of encouragement before a performance and congratulate the person afterward. Put your plan into action!
-
Read “Dana’s Blessing” (pages 32–33). Talk about why blessings are important, when we can receive blessings, and how blessings are given. Family members can share testimonies about blessings and the priesthood.
