Come, Follow Me
Scripture Time Fun for Little Ones
These ideas go along with Come, Follow Me—for Individuals and Families each week.
For Doctrine and Covenants 94–97: Have everyone bring their hands together over their heads like a temple spire. Then lower your arms to encircle each other in a family hug. Talk about blessings families can receive in the temple. Help your little ones say, “I can be with my family forever.”
For Doctrine and Covenants 98–101: Help your little ones say, “Jesus Christ can help me feel peace.” Talk about different ways people can feel peaceful. Some ideas could be praying, reading scripture stories, listening to good music, or resting quietly.
For Doctrine and Covenants 102–105: Families, cities, and countries have rules to keep people safe. Heavenly Father gives us rules, or commandments, too. Talk about some of these rules and commandments and why it’s important to follow them, even if it’s hard sometimes. Help your little ones say, “I can obey the commandments.”
For Doctrine and Covenants 106–108: Help your little ones say, “I can follow Church leaders.” Hold up a picture of the prophet. Talk about how your family can follow the prophet’s direction.
For Doctrine and Covenants 109–110: Work together as a family to draw a picture of a temple. Then sing “I Love to See the Temple” (Children’s Songbook, 95). Talk about why the temple is important to you. Help your little ones say, “The temple is a special place.”
