Learn about the Book of Mormon
Who Is Isaiah?
In the Book of Mormon, we read the words of a man named Isaiah. Isaiah was an Old Testament prophet. He lived long before Jesus Christ was born.
Isaiah taught about Jesus Christ’s life. He said that Jesus would bring peace to the world. He taught that Jesus would die, be resurrected, and return to earth again someday.
Hundreds of years later, Nephi wrote Isaiah’s words in the Book of Mormon to teach us about Jesus Christ. When Jesus visited the Nephites, He shared Isaiah’s words. He asked us to study them. When we study Isaiah’s words, we can feel the Savior’s love and come closer to Him.
