Vienna Jaques
1787–1884
One of only two women referred to by name in the Doctrine and Covenants.
Saw the first baptism for the dead in Nauvoo.
Vienna was a single sister from Massachusetts, USA. She made a large donation to the Church in 1833. This money was used to help buy the land on which the Church built the Kirtland Temple. The Prophet Joseph Smith told Vienna that she would not be forgotten for her generosity.
