Share Your Outdoor Games
What are some of your favorite games to play outdoors with friends or family? Touch rugby? Sly fox? Hide and seek? Capture the flag? Those are only a few outdoor games played around the world, but we know there are lots more you could tell us about.
Please send in a description of your favorite outdoor game (with a photo, if possible) to ftsoy@ChurchofJesusChrist.org by October 1, 2022. We’ll collect and share some of the favorite ideas so we can all learn a few more.
Fun Ways to Read Scriptures
To switch things up, you might try one of these suggestions for scripture reading.
-
Think of one or two people you know are struggling and read scriptures related to their needs.
-
Put on a play or dramatic reading of your favorite scripture story.
-
With family or friends, take turns recording yourselves reading the scriptures. Then send those recordings to other people you don’t see often, like a missionary.
-
Make sock puppets and put on a puppet show of a chapter or story from the scriptures.
-
Read them together over a video or phone call with someone.
-
If you’re learning another language, try reading the scriptures in that language and then translating it back into yours.
-
Watch scripture videos from Gospel Library (under Videos and Images). Then read the passages or chapters that match the videos.
Hemisphere Maze
Leaves are falling in the northern hemisphere while flowers are blooming in the southern. Find a path from the red leaf at the top to the yellow leaf at the bottom. You can jump left, right, up, or down (not diagonally) between symbols that are the same shape or color. Two example moves are shown. There is more than one way to complete the maze.
