The Savior’s Parables
The Lost Sheep
A good shepherd had 100 sheep. One became lost.
He left the 99 to search for the one lost sheep.
He was happy when he found the sheep. He carried it home on his shoulders, rejoicing.
He called his friends and neighbors. “Rejoice with me,” he said, “for I have found my sheep which was lost” (Luke 15:6).
What Does It Mean?
Those who sin are like lost sheep. The Savior taught that there is joy in heaven when a sinner repents (see Luke 15:7).
