Strength from the Scriptures
Strength of Heroes
Book of Mormon heroes needed strength too, and Jesus Christ was the source of it. How can you draw on His strength like these heroes did?
Nephi: Revelation (1–2 Nephi)
Leaving home, struggling with family challenges, and facing the unknown can be difficult. But as he put his faith in the Lord, Nephi learned to seek revelation and trust the Lord to guide him.
Alma and the Sons of Mosiah: Repentance (Mosiah 27–28; Alma 36)
It takes strength to repent and admit you were wrong. After this group of friends experienced a powerful call to repentance, they turned to Jesus Christ and found great strength. They courageously let go of their old lives and, with faith, served the Lord and helped others do the same. They found great joy.
The Stripling Warriors: Fighting Life’s Battles (Alma 53; 56–57)
Life has battles of all kinds. When these young men faced battles, they remembered what their mothers taught them about the gospel and fought “with the strength of God” (Alma 56:56).
