About Our Cover
The topic of marriage has long been the subject of jokes especially among the unmarried outside of our Church; yet, great men sang paeans for this eternal institution.
Andrew Jackson, 7th President of the United States (1829–1837), expostulated on the subject, saying “Heaven will be no Heaven to me if I do not meet my wife there.” The poet Alfred Tennyson, in “Aylmer’s Field”, wrote this line: Marriages are made in Heaven.
Above these are the inspired verses of Scripture.
Thus, while the issue is not dedicated to marriage, an institution from which a man cannot ever hope to be released, so to speak, we have assumed the privilege of presenting a cover on marriage, banking on support by tradition, the thoughts of great men and, above all, the sacredness adhering to this eternal covenant by the Scriptures.
