“Becoming More Like Jesus,” Tambuli, June–July 1985, 6
Becoming More Like Jesus
We become more like Jesus when we do what is right. When we do what is wrong, we become less like Him. The scripture references listed here describe one or more qualities or actions that will help you become either more like Jesus or less like Him. To play the game, cut out the scripture references along the solid lines, or copy each one onto a separate piece of paper. Put the papers into a small bowl. Place a pebble or other small object for each player on one of the squares in the START column.
Take turns choosing a scripture, reading it aloud, and moving either one space toward Jesus [if the scripture contains good qualities or actions] or one space away from Him [if it contains bad ones]. If you need help deciding which way to move, check the list of key words. After you have moved your playing piece, put the scripture back into the bowl and mix it in with the others. The game ends when the first person reaches Jesus.
