Inside back cover: “Daniel in the Lions’ Den,” by Clark Kelley Price. Because Daniel found favor in the sight of King Darius, jealous princes and governors conspired against him. They tricked the king into signing a decree making it unlawful for the people to pray to anyone but King Darius. But faithful Daniel continued to pray to the Lord. As punishment he was cast into the lions’ den. God sent an angel to “shut the lions’ mouths,” and Daniel was released unharmed. (See Dan. 6.)
