First Presidency Easter Greeting
The message of the angel at the tomb of Jesus that first resurrection morning—“He is risen”—is the joyful message of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to all mankind.
This transcendent event of nearly 2,000 years ago provides renewal for all: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Cor. 15:22).
We acknowledge the atonement and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and add our own solemn witness to that of others that “He was crucified, died, and rose again the third day” (D&C 20:23). For as He testified, “My Father sent me that I might be lifted up upon the cross; … that I might draw all men unto me, … to stand before me, to be judged of their works” (3 Ne. 27:14).
At this Easter time we invite all to contemplate the significance of the Atonement, for He is risen, and is our Advocate with the Father.
