The Church is established

After Jesus returned to heaven, his disciples set up the Church throughout the land. 4 Ne. 1:1

People repented

The people who repented of their sins were baptized and received the Holy Ghost. 4 Ne. 1:1

Everyone was honest

Soon all the Nephites and Lamanites were converted. There was no arguing among them, and everyone was honest. 4 Ne. 1:2

No rich or poor

No one was rich or poor. The people shared so that they all had what they needed. 4 Ne. 1:3

Many miracles

The disciples worked many miracles in the name of Jesus Christ. They healed the sick and brought the dead back to life. 4 Ne. 1:5

New cities built

The people built new cities where others had been destroyed. 4 Ne. 1:7–8

People obeyed God

They obeyed God’s commandments. They fasted and prayed. They met together often to learn the gospel of Jesus Christ. 4 Ne. 1:12

No robbers

There were no robbers, no liars, no murderers. The people were not divided into Nephites and Lamanites but were all one, the children of God. 4 Ne. 1:16–17

The Lord blessed the people

The Lord blessed the people in everything they did. 4 Ne. 1:18
