Unable to Gather, West African Latter-day Saints Participated in the April 2020 General Conference through Nationwide Broadcasts

With Church gatherings suspended worldwide, Church leaders in West Africa arranged for public-facing channels to broadcast general conference.

Ghana

Members in Ghana participated in two sessions of the conference that were broadcast on local TV and radio, the Saturday evening and Sunday morning sessions. The rest of the sessions were followed on the various online platforms.

Nigeria

The Sunday morning session was broadcast on local TV to the members in Nigeria and the rest of the sessions were followed on the various online platforms.

Liberia

Members in Liberia participated in three sessions of the conference that were broadcast on local TV and radio. Saturday afternoon and evening session and the Sunday morning session. The rest of the sessions were followed on the various online platforms.

Sierra Leone

The Sunday morning session was broadcast on local radio to the members in Sierra Leone. The Saturday evening session was shown on local TV and the rest of the sessions were followed on the various online platforms.

Togo

For members in Togo, the Sunday morning live session of the conference was broadcast on local radio, and the Saturday evening session was broadcast on local TV. The rest of the sessions were followed on the various online platforms.

All other countries in the area followed the conference on the various online platforms.
