Highlights from the 191st Annual General Conference
The focus of general conference, held on Easter weekend, was the Savior Jesus Christ, strengthening members, and the global nature of the Church.

Page 6: In his opening remarks, President Russell M. Nelson said, “We gather as a great global family desiring to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” He pointed out that “the strength of the Church lies in the efforts and ever-growing testimonies of its members.” Throughout the conference, the efforts of Church leaders to strengthen individual members were apparent.

Page 78: During the priesthood session, President Nelson taught how we can make our homes holy places, “the center of gospel learning and gospel living,” even after the pandemic has ended.

Page 101: In his Sunday morning message, President Nelson made it clear that this is a global church with a gospel meant for all people: “This morning, we have heard from Church leaders who come from every populated continent on earth. Truly, the blessings of the gospel are for every race, language, and people. The Church of Jesus Christ is a global church. Jesus Christ is our leader.”

Page 127: In addition, the effort to strengthen members was demonstrated in the announcement of 20 new temples. “We want to bring the house of the Lord even closer to our members,” President Nelson said in his closing remarks. It was the largest number of temples announced since 1998, when President Gordon B. Hinckley announced 32 temples, opening a new era of temple expansion.
