Brightly colored houses of the La Perla neighborhood enliven the Atlantic coastline of Old San Juan. The first meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Puerto Rico was opened in 1970. Today this US territory has:

• 5 stakes, 1 mission, 39 congregations

• 8 family history centers, 1 temple (under construction)

In Carolina, a neighbor city of San Juan, Lemsy Santana de Aguayo gives her daughter a kiss. “The Church is family centered,” Lemsy says. “But it supports us by helping members to learn together and strengthen each other.”
