In our increasingly chaotic world, it can be easy to feel afraid and uncertain. But when we turn to Jesus Christ for comfort, He can bring us peace in the storms of life. Read the articles in this issue to find out how the Savior can help you navigate your challenges.

The Savior Readily Offers Peace in Troubling Times

With your family, read Elder Uchtdorf’s article on page 4 about how trusting in Christ’s enabling power can provide peace in difficult situations. Discuss together some ways that Jesus offers relief. What can you do to invite His power into your life?

How Does the Priesthood Bless Our Family?

Read the article on page 22 about priesthood blessings. Invite family members to share times they received a priesthood blessing. How did they feel? How did the blessing help them? Is there a blessing that could help a family member now?

The Lord Uses His Prophet to Help Us Cultivate Courage

In the article on page 30, Elder Sikahema talks about how following the prophet’s teachings helped him stand firm in his beliefs and standards during his career as a professional American football player and throughout his life. After reading this article, you could have each member of your family share a time when following the prophet helped them have courage.

Growing, Growing, Every Day

As members of Jesus Christ’s restored Church, we are responsible to help grow the kingdom of God on earth. Matthew 13:31–32 says:

“The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

“Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree.”

  1. Sit in a circle and curl up small like a tiny mustard seed.

  2. Have everyone take turns naming an activity they might do each day to help the Church grow (bear their testimony, share a scripture on social media, share a gospel truth with a friend, etc.).

  3. Each time someone mentions an activity that helps the Church grow, everyone sits up a little straighter and then begins to stand up until they are standing tall.

  4. Discuss with your family why it is important for each person to do his or her part to contribute to the Church’s growth.
